Pinions and Pinion Shafts

Rack and Pinion Drive

For the realization of complete rack and pinion drives ATLANTA offers, next to the world's wide extensive program of high-quality racks, a wide range of matching gears and pinion shafts. The program of ATLANTA pinion and pinion shafts extending from module 1.5 to module 12, oblique and straight teeth, soft or hardened and ground. With the possible combinations can be almost all conceivable applications optimally realized.

These pinions have the teeth at an angle (19º 31' 42") for increased load capacity and quiet operation. These pinions have the teeth perpendicular to pinion side, and are traditionally known as "spur".At these pinion are only the teeth hardened and ground. Processing on the bore and hub is additionaly possible. These pinions have two pinion halves which are spring-loaded against each other to provide zero backlashThese pinions have a spline profile according DIN 5480 for increased load capacity. These pinions were designed for mounting directly to ISO 9409-1 flanged reducers.
